<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet container for holding a larger number of sheets, even curled ones, in its vertically limited holding spaces in its non-sort mode. SOLUTION: A sheet container comprises at least one tray 4 for holding sheets ejected out of an image forming device 1, and an ejector means 5 for ejecting sheets out onto the tray 4. The sheet container is further provided with a holding space limiter means 8 of limiting a holding space 9 defined above the tray 4, and a drive means of actuating the holding space limiter means 8. In its mode of ejecting sheets onto at least one specified tray 4a or the like out of the plural trays 4 without sorting, the sheet container activates the drive means at predetermined timing for the mode to vertically limit the holding space 9 defined above the specified tray 4a and to compress ejected sheets together with a bundle of sheets already stacked, which facilitates the ejection of the next sheets onto the holding space 9.</p> |
