The invention relates to a device for applying laser beams which is specially designed for use in dentistry. The inventive device has a fiber transmission line (1) with several separate optic fibers (4) used to transmit different wavelengths. A common optical focusing element (7), preferably configured as a converging lens (8), is located at a distance from the end (5) of the optic fibers. Said element bundles the laser beam (14) coming out of the individual fibers (4) to form a common output beam size (9). The separate fibers (4) can thus be optimized according to the wavelength to be transmitted, wherein simultaneous or sequential application of several identical or different wavelengths can be easily achieved using an application hand piece.
