METHOD OF MOVING SELF-PROPELLED INVALID'S WHEEL CHAIR ON STAIR FLIGHTS

FIELD: medical equipment, in particular, invalid's chairs used for moving past profiled obstacles. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing alternative rotation and braking of front and rear wheels; changing longitudinal wheel base length L(wh) from minimum to maximum value; when front wheels are in stable position on upper stair of stair flight, providing synchronous rotation of front and rear wheels, with reached value of length base L(wh) being invariable, till stable raising of rear wheels onto upper stair. Synchronous rotation of wheels during displacement of chassis over upper stair of stair flight is initiated by preliminarily decreasing length base to minimum value, with front wheels being braked at their stable position on upper stair. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities of method providing improved displacement of invalids by means of wheel arm having improved characteristics. 8 dwgi
