The system has at least one light source (4), arranged outside on one side of the dartboard (3). An optical sensor unit (6) is arranged on the side of the board lying opposite to this, which is aligned on the light source. It gives a measurement signal, if a dart tip sticking in the dartboard covers the light source. An evaluation unit determines the impact point from the sensor measuring signal. The stationary light source is provided with a strip-shaped light surface, which transmits light over the entire dartboard in a plane (E). This plane lies parallel to the surface of the dartboard, and intersects the tips of the darts (15) sticking in the dartboard. The sensor unit has angle sensors (6), which are arranged, and are stationary, outside the dartboard each at the end point (A,B,C) of a linear base with selected lengths.
