Elongate coupling strap for rail track current rails

Elongated fish-plates (3) are disclosed for joining two conductor rails (1, 2) which abut at their front faces (4, 5) and have at least one recess which extends in the longitudinal direction (A) of the rail and has side walls (12, 13) and a bottom (14). The fish-plate (3) is designed in such a manner that when it is inserted into the recess its bottom side (8) lies on the bottom (14) of the recess and its side walls are spaced apart from the side walls (12, 13) of the recess. The fish-plate is made of a harder material than the conductor rails (1, 2) and its bottom side (8) has projections (9) which are pressed into the conductor rails (1, 2) when the fish-plate is secured to the latter.
