The invention relates to a fibre-optic cable network in which the fibre-optic cables (2) are mounted against the wall (1a) of impassable channels or pipes (1) by means of fixing elements (3), whereby said fixing elements comprise means (3a) for receiving at least one fibre-optic cable and means (3b) for attachment to the wall of the channels or pipes. The means for attachment to the wall are embodied by a closed ring made of special steel which is elastically prestressed and which presses against the wall of the channel or pipe.
