<p>A mirror coating which provides improved performance characteristics to a mirror assembly and which includes a non-periodic succession of materials in a layered interference filter structure. The mirror coating exhibits neutral reflected chromaticity and a luminous reflectance of greater than 50% for the ambient light; the mirror coating has a peak transmittance of not less than 60% at the in-band frequency of 680 um, and a peak out of band absorbance of not less than 30% at a frequency of 480 um. <IMAGE></p> |
