PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability at the time of changing the size or the position of the frame of a document laid out by plural frames by detecting a frame setting position in a displayed document, setting a new frame in the document based on the position of the detected frame and storing information concerning the displayed document. SOLUTION: At the time of editing document layout for the article of newspaper, e.g. a document information control part 7 controlling information concerning the document of the whole document controls a frame information control part 8, which controls information concerning frame editing operation such as the preparation, cutting off, moving, sticking, deleting, combining instruction, etc., of the frame of the document. Then the document in which a frame is set is displayed on a display part 10, a position at which the frame is set in the displayed position is detected, a new frame is set in the display document based on the position of the detected frame and information concerning the displayed document is stored in a frame information storing part 9. A newspaper frame coordinate calculating part 11 transforms a frame area coordinate stored in the part 9 into a coordinate for the frame of newspaper. |
