PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video conference system with self-diagnostic function, which can speedily and easily detect a fault, without interrupting power and connecting a measurement unit or the like. SOLUTION: The respective video conference terminal equipment 1a-1n and 2a-2n in respective video conference rooms 1 and 2 are connected to respective video switch devices 3 and 4. The video switch devices 3 and 4 are connected to an exchange 6 through the telephone liner 5 of one circuit. When video conference attendant operates the self-picture return key 14 of the video conference terminal equipment 1a-1n and 2a-2n, video data of the self-pictures of the video conference attendant, which are taken by the television cameras of the video conference terminal equipment 1a-1n and 2a-2n, are displayed on the monitors of the respective video conference terminal equipment 1a-1n and 2a-2n via the matrix switches of the video switch devices 3 and 4. The presence of a fault in the path from the television camera to the monitor via the respective video switch devices 3 and 4 is self-diagnosed. |
