SOLUTION: A first circuit 15 supplies the bias voltage to the photodetector 11 at all times. Also, in the case that communication end signals SE from an optical communication circuit 13 are outputted, the power supply of the optical communication circuit 13 is turned to an OFF state. That is, in this case, a power supply terminal Vcc and a first power supply 29 are turned to a non-contact state. Then, the first circuit 15 utilizes an optical current generated in the photodetector 11 when the photodetector 11 receives communication start request signals, turns the power supply to an ON state and holds the ON state until the communication end signals SE are outputted from the optical communication circuit 13. That is, in this case, the power supply terminal Vcc and the first power supply 29 are turned to a connected state and it is held. A switching circuit 15a supplies a voltage based on the first power supply 29 through a set input terminal S to the photodetector 11 as the bias voltage at all times.
