PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflatable illumination balloon which has high reliability and reduces maintenance work regardless where it is used. SOLUTION: An illumination balloon provided with an inflatable housing 12 includes a control unit 18 provided inside the housing 12 in a centralized fashion. In the control unit 18, an electric air suction device 52 having an inlet through which air is sucked in from the outside and an outlet through which air is fed into the internal space of the balloon is provided. Also in the control unit 18, an electronic circuit for supplying power to the electric air suction device 52 and an electric bulb 16 is provided. Further in the control unit 18, a cover 28 supporting the electric bulb 16 and a protective frame adapted to avoid contact of the housing 12 with the electric bulb 16 and extending to near the top of the housing 12 to impart mechanical rigidity to the structure of the balloon is provided. |
