<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a system to be an optimum size and to permit a user to operate without troubles by respectively providing displays on the inner surface of two base members which are jointed by means of a hinge and providing a microphone, a speaker and a manual operable member in one of the two base members. SOLUTION: A portable device 3 is provided with the first display 8 for displaying a data menu and a virtual function key and the speaker 12 on the inner surface 10 of the first base member 2 and is provided with the second display 16 for displaying routine converting information, a microphone 20 and the manual operable member 22 on the inner surface 18 of the second base member. The manual operable member 22 is a lowering possible track ball, and the user operates the portable device 3 by the manual operable member 22. Thus, the portable device 3 can be an optimum size for operation by a user, and the user can operate it with a single finger as a telephone set or an electronic message communication device.</p> |
