PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment, a kind of image recorders has provision for the case of requiring protection and security of confidentiality of a recording member, such as ink ribbon and recording paper and also for the case of a conventional application, not requiring the protection in a simple way at a low cost. SOLUTION: A knob 3b which is an operation member used to open an open/close cover 2 for a conventional type and a knob 3a, whose shape is different from that of the knob 3b and being a lock release inhibit member are provided in a compatible way to the facsimile equipment, so as to allow the facsimile equipment to simply cope with the conventional use and the special use requiring security of secrecy. In the case of using the knob 3a that is a lock release inhibit member, since the lock is released only by an exclusive use jig, only specific persons having the exclusive use jig can make opening/closing of the open/close cover, then the protection and the security of confidentiality of the recording material are surely attained at low cost. |
