摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a device thin in thickness by giving the degree of freedom for design of an optical pickup section by protruding a curved part of a flexible board into the gap between a tray and a protective cover, and eliminating the space of a bottom surface of a carriage. SOLUTION: When making a device thin in thickness, a place to which a curved section 7t of a flexible board 7 is placed at the time of moving a carriage 41 is required to be considered. If the curved section 7t is forcedly put into the prescribed place, discontinuity is caused the part, further, needless force is caused by the curved part 7t in the carriage 41, and the accuracy of positioning is degraded. Then, the curved part 7t is protruded into a dead space between the carriage 41 and an optical disk 1, and occurrence of stress is suppressed. Therefore, when the carriage 41 reaches the outer periphery, the curved part 7t is taken out from an opening part 44t of a protective cover 44, and placed at a gap between the protective cover 44 and a tray 604. Therefore, the discontinuity of the curved part 7t and the occurrence of stress can be prevented, and contacting with the optical disk 1 can be prevented even if the curved part 7t is vibrated by impact and the like.
