METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF SLAG PANS

FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically, steel melting in converters. SUBSTANCE: method includes application of coating to internal surface of slag pans. Coating is applied with the help of mixture of aqueous solution of aluminosilicate mortar in ratio of components within 1:(0.5-1.0) and orthophosphoric acid in the amount of 0.3-0.6% of mortar solution volume. Consumption of mortar is within the range of 3-6.5 kg/cu.m of slag pan. Pan internal surface is subjected to 2-5 cyclic heatings and subsequent cooling for 5-10 min in each cycle of heating and cooling. EFFECT: higher stability of slag pans. 3 cl, 1 tblo
