METHOD FOR MINING THICK STEEP COAL SEAMS IN UPGRADE

FIELD: coal mining technology. SUBSTANCE: according to method, coal seam is divided into levels and levels are divided into sublevels. Coal extraction is sublevels is effected in upgrade strip-by-strip with application of drilling and blasting operations and subsequent shrinkage of cut coal. Cutting of coal in strip of sublevel is carried out from breakthrough board, starting in lower part of strip with making compensation slot at floor of coal seam. Ventilation of stoping face is effected through bore-holes which are drilled at boundaries of strips. Bore-hole through which breakthrough board is driven for mining strip is joined by connections with bore-hole which is being drilled for next adjacent coal strip. Application of aforesaid method allows for increasing efficiency of drilling and blasting operations, safety and convenience of mining activities. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwgt
