<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts, to facilitate assembly, and to improve suction efficiency by a method wherein a resonance chamber and a communicating passage are formed with a mating surface between a surge tank and the upper stream part of an independent intake air passage and the downstream part of the independent intake air passage. CONSTITUTION:Independent intake air passages 4a - 4d running from a surge tank 3 to the suction port of each cylinder are respectively curved. A resonance chamber 12 and a communicating passage 13 are divided into an upper and a lower half. The surge tank 3, the upper stream parts of the independent intake air passage 4a - 4d, and the downstream parts of the independent intake air passages 4a - 4d are integrally formed, and are intercoupled through utilization of a mating surface between the upper stream part and the downstream part of an existing independent intake air passage. This constitution enables reduction of the number of parts, facilitation of assembly, and improvement of suction efficiency.</p> |
