An electrical connector pin 1 is retained within a housing that is formed of two half sleeve sections 3,4. The lower half sleeve is produced with a number of axially projecting fingers 9 that are shaped to fit into a reduced diameter section 8 of the pin. The top half sleeve is pushed axially against the fingers of the lower section and this securely clamps the pin.
