A water purification filter (1) has a filtration arrangement including: (a) two networks (5) of distribution and drainage pipes associated respectively with an inlet (2) and an outlet, are positioned facing one another and are provided with longitudinally distributed perforations in their transverse walls; (b) a filtering medium between the two networks; and (c) a distribution arrangement (9) associated with the distribution pipe network (5) to ensure diffusion of water towards the filtering medium. Pref. the filtering medium comprises a bed of zeolite granules. Also claimed are: (i) a water treatment system including the above filter; and (ii) a septic tank including a pretreatment system connected to the above treatment system.
