A method of mounting electrical control networks entails a number of different module types and their interwiring, in a row format on a rail mount. The method is suited to applications such as theatre or street lighting control networks. Each building block or module has standard features, including a spring clamp at the rear which fits into and clamps the module to a common roughly U-shaped mounting rail. Wiring terminals protrude from the front of the module, protected by a removable metal cover, which also covers an associated cable form U-shaped channel on each module. The channels on all the modules align when the mounting is effecting, allowing straight cable form runs. |
