<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of smoothly performing the phase inversion emulsion itself to provide a satisfactory grain, and excellent in low temperature fixability and hot offset resistance in the manufacture of a powder toner by means of phase inversion emulsion. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing a toner, a mixture containing a resin capable of being self-water dispersible by neutralization, a coloring agent, a wax fine particle, and an organic solvent as essential components is added to an aqueous medium under the presence of a neutralizing agent of a quantity sufficient for the resin to be self-water dispersible to perform a phase inversion emulsification, or the aqueous medium is added to the mixture to perform the phase inversion emulsification, whereby the particle of a self- water dispersible resin in which the coloring agent and the wax fine particle are capsulated in the aqueous medium is generated, and the particle is separated followed by drying.</p> |
