PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of rearranging a bundle of recording papers in the same order as that of documents, again and to reduce the handling time after a copying operation is executed, of a user by ejecting the recording materials for the upper ones of the documents set on an automatic document feeder into the sort bin in an upper stage of an automatic sorter device. SOLUTION: The documents set on a document tray 42 are fed to a document platen glass 1 from the document at the bottom and copied by a registered number and the recording materials as copies are ejected to the sort bin 45. When one document is copied by the registered number, the document on the document platen glass 1 is returned to the top of the documents on the document tray 42 and the document at the bottom is fed to the document platen glass 1. Then, shifting to the sort bin 45 in a lower position by one stage is attained, the document is copied by the registered number and the recording materials are ejected to the sort bin 45. These operations are repeated by the number of the documents, so that the recording materials for the upper ones of the documents set on the document tray 42 can be ejected to the sort bin 45 in the upper stage, at the time of sorting the recording materials in each page of the documents. |
