PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open and close a ceiling opening simply and safely. SOLUTION: One side edge of a ceiling lid 4 is mounted to one side edge of an opening 3 formed in a ceiling 1 of a room in such a manner that the ceiling lid 4 can be horizontally flapped by means of a. hinge 5 having a horizontal shaft. Further, a geared motor 6 is provided in a ceiling plenum on the side opposed to the one side edge of the opening 3, and a drum 7 is mounted to a drive shaft of the geared motor 6. A starting end of a cord 8 wound around the drum 7 is fixed to a free end on a rear face of the ceiling lid 4, and the geared motor 6 is driven forward and backward by operation of a control unit 10, whereby it is so designed that the ceiling lid 4 is flapped forward and backward by the cord 8 to open and close the ceiling opening 3. |
