PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the work of mounting dismounting an engine cover and the work of filling oil. SOLUTION: In an outboard motor 1 for housing a multi-cylinder engine 3 whose crank case 36 faces toward the front of the outboard motor 1 by an under case 21 and an engine cover 22 mounted/dismounted by a mounting/ dismounting device, the mounting/dismounting device has the engine cover 22 mounted on and dismounted from the under case 21 by a plurality of hooking members, and at least two of the plurality of hooking members are joined by a rotatable joining shaft so as to integrally mounting/dismounting them and an operating member 56 for rotating the joining shaft on the under case 21 either on the right side or the left side with respect to the direction in which a hull is propelled, and an engine lubrication oil pouring hole 45 facing toward the operating member 56 is made. |
