PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device capable of improving the cooling efficiency of a power unit. SOLUTION: In this projection display device for magnifying/projecting an optical image formed in such a manner that a luminous flux from a light source lamp unit 8 is optically processed on a projection surface by a projection lens unit 6, an exhaust fan 16 for discharging air from an outside case 2 is arranged near the light source lamp unit 8 and a ventilation path is provided inside the power unit 7. An air intake fan 17 is attached to the entrance of the ventilation path and the entrance of the ventilation path and an air intake for cooling 150 formed in the outside case 2 are connected by a duct cover 170, to directly introduce outdoor air to the ventilation path. Thus, the inside of the power unit 7 can be cooled with the outdoor air whose temperature is lower than that of the air in the outside case 2, thereby enhancing the cooling efficiency. |
