PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to well electrostatically charge nonmagnetic toners and to transport multiple layers of the toners as well by using a toner blade of the constitution obtd. by coating the front surface on the toner carrying member side of a rubber-like elastic body with a glass coating layer. SOLUTION: This toner regulating member has the toner blade 17 which comes into sliding contact with a developing roller and its mounting fittings 18. The toner blade 17 is formed by coating the front surface on the developing roller side of the rubber-like elastic body 20 with the glass coating layer 21. The rubber-like elastic body 20 is formed by cutting the stock which is vulcanization molded and is extrusion molded to a sheet form to a strip piece of a prescribed width, then cutting the strip piece so as to meet the axial length of the developing roller. The glass coating layer 21 is an insulating film formed to 1 to 10μm thickness, for example, 3μm thin film form by a sol-gel method and is formed by hydrolyzing the alkoxide of Si and the alkoxide of Ti and applying a sol soln. formed by condensation polymn. on the surface of the rubber-like elastic body 20, then drying and heat treating the coating. |
