The invention concerns a machine tool comprising a plurality of spindles which are disposed parallel to one another and preferably vertically for the transport of the workpieces or tools to and from the machining point and for the simultaneous or different, separate machining of a plurality of workpieces. The spindles, which can be driven about their axes of rotation and displaced in their axial direction, can be displaced on horizontal guide tracks together or relative to one another. According to the invention, all the spindles (10, 11) can be displaced such that they are supported independently of one another, in each case with a separate carriage (3, 4) on guide tracks (2) disposed at different levels and on one side on a securing plane. The carriages (3, 4) are imbricated in one another such that the outer carriage(s) (3) surrounds (surround) the inner carriage(s) (4) in frame-like manner. |
