FIELD: cutting tools, namely milling cutters. SUBSTANCE: cutting tip is designed for mounting in body of milling cutter and it has circular lateral surface approximately along 3/4 of its periphery. Remaining 1/4 part of its lateral surface includes two mutually normal lateral surfaces. One portion of one of said lateral surfaces (adjoining to angle between these surfaces) serves as trimming chamfer inclined in such a way that it forms obtuse angle with both lateral surfaces. Such rounded construction (with said circular lateral surface) allows to set angle of trimming chamfer (angle between cutting edge of trimming chamfer and worked part) with high degree of accuracy. It provides enhanced degree of surface finish without changing preset effort of clamping cutting tip. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 5 dwg |
