FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: claimed fertilizer comprises nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium bonded with organic matter, ratio of components being as follows (wt %): 17.3-17.6 peat (dry matter); 0.50-0.51 nitrogen; 0.20-0.25 phosphorus in terms of P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>; 0.56-0.60 potassium in terms of K<SB>2</SB>O; and the water balance. The claimed method comprises fermentation of mixture of ground peat with mineral compounds and water at 25-40 C till homogeneous compound is formed and concentration of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in liquid phase is reduced to constant value. Peat has humidity content of 20-50 wt %. The resulting fertilizer allows for optimal concentration of nutrients and humus components, e.g. humic acid salts in soil, and also reduction in the losses thereof.
