POLYMERIC MATERIAL JOINING METHOD

FIELD: welding of polymeric materials. SUBSTANCE: method involves clamping surfaces to be joined in die-mold made from material having thermal expansion coefficient at least equal to that of surfaces to be joined. Die-mold has gap enclosing surface joining area, wedge-shaped projection extending along perimeter of zone adjacent to seam and polymer injection channel. Fabric edges clamped in die-mold and pressed by wedge-shaped projection are subjected to heating to flowing temperature by supplying same melt under pressure into gap. Die-mold facilitates quick withdrawal of heat from zone adjacent to seam. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of joint by eliminating deformation of surfaces subjected to joining operation. 1 dwgn
