The camera has a position detector for determining a three dimensional relative position between different recording positions of the camera. Preferably the position detector uses a three dimensional coordinate system defined near the camera. The origin of the coordinate system is preferably arranged at the rear main point of the recording lens of the camera. The relative positioning between the different recording positions are determined with respect to the three dimensional coordinate system.
