<p>A technique for suppressing the increase of transmission delay of low-speed data, such as audio signals, and the deterioration of the efficiency of a transmission line when transmitting multi-dimensional data by using AAL type 2. A meaningless information adding/removing function, an error correcting function, and a data disassembling/assembling function are realized as an SSCS on the high-speed data side of AAL type 2. On the transmission node side, therefore, a data unit (11) is generated by adding meaningless information (3) and restored information (10) to user data (1) from a higher layer. The data unit (11) is divided into division blocks 12-1 to 12-m having fixed lengths (45 octets), and the blocks 12-1 to 12-m become data blocks 13-1 to 13-m when continuation information sets 6-1 to 6-m are given to the blocks, and successively transmitted to an AAL type 2 device (24). On the reception node side, the above-mentioned processing is performed reversely.</p> |
