Medicinal compositions useful for achieving immediate disintegration, which comprise a solid dispersion of a hardly soluble drug in a gel-forming, water-soluble polymer and contain a salt of an alkali with a weak acid or a strong acid showing an endothermic standard dissolution enthalpy or dissolution heat. The compositions can be immediately disintegrated regardless of the pH value in the digestive tract and the drugs contained therein can be quickly liberated, thus achieving a high bioavailability.
