Heading C2C. #-Semi-carbazido propionic acid hydrazide may be prepared by reacting a #-alanine ester hydrochloride, particularly the ethyl ester, with an ester of chlorocarbonic acid, particularly phenyl chlorocarbonate, and then reacting the resulting di-ester of #-carboxyethylene carbamic acid, e.g. #-carbethoxyethylenecarbamic acid phenyl ester, with hydrazine, preferably in the form of its hydrate.</p> |
