PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which makes it possible to avert the attachment of an artificial anus, to shorten the time for hospitalization and to relieve the patient's pain by surely heeling a rectorrhaphy failure and further allows the sure execution of radiography and is hygienically excellent by fixing the rectal catheter into the intestines and stabilizing the catheter when radiographying rectum. SOLUTION: A catheter body 2, a medicinal liquid or contrast medium infusion tub 23 connected by a connecting plug 12 to the base end of this catheter body 2 and an excretion tube 24 are formed at the rectal catheter 1. A front end cap 13 opened with excretion ports 7 at the foremost end and the side wall is fitted onto the front end of the catheter body 2. A freely expandable and contractable balloon 5 is formed on the outer peripheral wall at the front end of the catheter body 2 and further two freely expandable and contractable balloons 3, 4 are formed at the positions parted at a prescribed spacing from the balloon 5 on the outer peripheral wall of the catheter body 2. A liquid medicine or contrast medium discharge port 6 communicated to a medicinal liquid or contrast medium infusion path is opened at the catheter body 2 between the balloon 3 formed apart a prescribed spacing from the balloon 5 and the balloon 5. |
