PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a repairing material used for flame spraying not causing softening even in the high operation temp. range of a coke oven, having satisfactory adhesiveness to the refractories of the inner wall of the oven and excellent also in spalling resistance by using a powdery mixture of specified amts. of powders of silica, alumina and magnesia as fire resisting oxides. SOLUTION: This repairing material for flame spraying is made of a powdery mixture of powders of SiO2 , Al2 O3 and MgO as fire resisting oxides. The amt. of the SiO2 is >70 to <85wt.%, the total amt. of the Al2 O3 and MgO is 10-30wt.% and the weight ratio of Al2 O3 to MgO is 0.9-3.0. One or more among metallic Si, metal Al, metal Mg and their alloy may be added to the powdery mixture by <=30wt.% in total. This repairing material, together with combustible gas, is jetted into a flow of oxygen-contg. supporting gas and a repairing layer is formed on the surface of the inner wall of an oven. |
