PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously and automatically monitor the function of a spray coating device in a simple manner so that an adverse effect caused by malfunction can be avoided to a large extent. SOLUTION: In this spray coating device which includes a valve for controlling the flow rate of a liquid or powder coating material and is installed on a carrier element 4 for supporting a spray device 2, a sensor 76 monitors its relative position with a valve needle 80 and transmits an appropriate signal to a signal processing unit through a remote transmission path 78. To sinificantly avoid an adverse effect caused by malfunction, the sensor 76 continuously monitors the function of the spray coating device. |
