PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the antifouling agent against sea foulings, comprising a triphenylborane compound and a specific higher aliphatic amine in a specified ratio, exhibiting a synergistic antifouling effect against a wide range of the foulings, and improved in the durability of the effect. SOLUTION: This antifouling agent comprises triphenylborane or its alkali metal hydroxide adduct, and a higher aliphatic secondary or tertiary amine or its salt in a molar ratio of 1:(0.1-10). The antifouling agent can remarkably efficiently prevent troubles caused by the adhesion of the foulings as an antifouling agent for fishing nets and as an antifouling coating. The antifouling agent is effective against Hydroides elegans Haswell, Balanomorpha, Bivalvia, Bryozoa, etc. |
