FLOOR LAYING INTERIOR MATERIAL FOR AUTOMOBILE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sound proof performance over a wide range of frequency by forming a hollow layer between the surface carpet layer and the back shock absorbing material layer at least extending over the whole of a desired area. SOLUTION: A floor laying interior material for an automobile is formed by laminating a shock absorbing material layer 2, a substantially hollow layer 3 existent over the whole of a desired area, and a carpet 4 in order on a projecting and recessed floor panel 1 of an automobile to be integrated with each other. As the shock absorbing material layer 2, urethane resin foam body is used. As the hollow layer 3, preferably gas (e.g. air) is confined between two sheets of impermeable resin films. The hollow layer 3 is formed by making two resin films adhere to each other at the end edges thereof, or by making inner parts of the film surfaces adhere to each other in the case of partitioning into plural small chambers, and confining gas between them.
