PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a therapeutic agent for autoimmune disease or immunological deficiency caused by T cell-replacing factor(TRF) by using a monoclonal antibody specifically bonding to the TRF. SOLUTION: This therapeutic agent of autoimmune disease or immunological deficiency includes a monoclonal anti body (e.g. anti-TRF monoclonal antibody TB12) not only specifically bonded to the antigen part of TRF [interleukin(IL)-5] but also inhibiting the activities thereof and not bonded to IL-1, IL-2, IL-3 and BSF-1. The monoclonal antibody is obtained, for example, by immunizing a mammal by the TRF, performing a cell fusion of spleen cells of the immunized mammal with bone marrow cells of a mouse, screening and cloning the fused cells in order, and culturing the screened and cloned cells in ascites, etc., of the mouse. The TRF is obtained, for example, by performing serum free culturing of T-cell hybridoma B151K12 cell line. |
