<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously produce vinyl ether having a high boiling point by using an alkali metal alcoholate as a catalyst and subjecting acetylene with a polyhydric alcohol to a gas-liquid contact catalytic reaction. SOLUTION: Acetylene and a catalyst comprising an alkali metal alcoholate such as a linear monofunctional or bifunctional sodium metal alcoholate or an alicyclic monofunctional potassium metal alcoholate with a 2-6C bihydric alcohol such as cyclohexanol, ethylene glycol or 1,4-butane diol, respectively are continuously supplied into a reactor 5 through an acetylene supplying pipe 1 and an alkali metal alcoholate/alcohol supplying pipe 2, and acetylene and dihydric alcohol are subjected to a gas-liquid contact catalytic reaction in 0.5-3mol/L catalyst concentration at 100-180 deg.C. The resultant reacted solution is continuously discharged from a liquid phase part in the reactor 5 through a discharging pipe 3 and introduced into a distiller 6, then a high boiling point vinyl ether having >=100 deg.C boiling point is extracted from a discharging pipe 8 at a tank top, and simultaneously alkali metal alcoholate/alcohol is discharged from a discharging pipe 7 at a tank bottom and circulated to the reactor 5.</p> |
