The wheel of a centrifugal fan consists of a central hub (16), which is designed to be mounted on a shaft (12) of a drive motor (14). It carries a peripheral crown (18), which is fitted with a series of successive blades (20), which are designed to draw in the air axially (28), through the interior of the crown, and to expel it radially (3) towards the exterior. A series of radial arms (26) are used to attach the crown wheel to the hub. The cross section of the support arms, in a plane, which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the arms, is formed as a section, which is essentially circular, for at least the major part (L) of the length of the arms.
