Setdown belts for the dough strip are carried over their pulleys by a frame composed of two parallel rails joined at the top by a strut and by two telescoping bars which ride in these rails and are joined at the bottom by a stay. A centre roller on the stay carries a guide to keep the setdown belts spaced evenly right across and the cam disc and rocker used to drive the frame start it fast, then slow it down and then on the return travel speed it up gradually back to the starting speed. The strip is guided by bars fitted to the insides of the rails, for the period during which the frame passes through its centre point.
|
