The tap is coupled to an undergound pipeline system for water or gas, with a contact surface (21), associated with a sound sensor (22), for transmitting the sound resulting from a leak to a leakage measuring device (20), for detecting a leakage in the pipeline system. The sound sensor is permanently incorporated in the operating spindle (8) or the wall (2) of the tap, provided with an internal space (19), for housing the leakage measuring device.
