PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to automatically extract deleted data pertinent to a preset reference data condition in a backup file. SOLUTION: In a data editing system which conducts data editing work by storing data inputted from a keyboard 1 in an edition memory 3, a reference data condition register 7 holds reference data conditions which becomes criteria for discriminating whether or not deleted data are the subject of automatic data extraction and an editing data monitoring section 4 monitors the deleted data and discriminates whether the data are pertinent to the reference data conditions held in the register 7. A file writing section 6 compresses and writes the deleted data in a backup file section 5 when the monitoring section 4 discriminates that the data are pertinent to the reference data conditions and a file reading section 8 expands and reads the deleted data written in the file section 5 is a compressed state to the edition memory 3. |
