METHOD FOR THE UTILIZATION OF WASTE PRODUCTS FROM THE MANUFACTURE AND PROCESSING OF POLYETHYLENETEREPHTHALATE

By the method glycolysis and polycondensation occur in thepresence of the same catalyst, all types of wastes (resins,granulates, extrusion and fibrous waste and fines) being degradedby ethyleneglycol for 150-270 min. at temperatures from 198 to250°C in the presence of catalyst "Centron B" (organic derivativeof titanium) in quantities from 0.1 - 0.06% in comparison with thewaste product, with mol.wt.580 and structureat temperatures from 198-250°C for 150-270 min. The superfluousethyleneglycole is removed by distillation and thepre-esterificate produced is subjected to polycondensation.
