The method is used in motor cars. It enables the automaticgear switching without deteriorating the general efficiency factorand the motor-car dynamics. By the method, the trottle valve isclosed when the clutch is disconnected after which it opens to aposition where the revolutions of the outgoing shaft of the motorare equalized with those of the ingoing shaft of the transmissionbox for the gear which shall be switched (the latter being knownin advance). After the gear is switched, the clutch is connectedat a speed reversely proportional to the diference between therevolutions of the engine outgoing shaft and the gear box ingoingshaft. After the clutch is connected, the throttle valve begins toshift to a position matching the position of the valve controllingpedal.
