TECHNOLOGY FOR REPLACEMENT OF STEEL STRUCTURES FOR RAILWAY BRIDGES

The invention relates to technology where the existing steelstructure is dismantled and two semi-structures are built veryclose to it in advance, and temporary inventory shiftings aremounted in the range of the bridge abutment in order to remove theexisting guardballast wall and build new coussinets. Lower bearingparts serving as chutes for pile jetting are machined in thelatter, and upper bearing joints are fixed to the semi-structuresgetting in sliding connection to the chutes for pile jettingduring the time of the actual replacement. It is adequate that thepile jetting of the two semi-structures and their assembly into anintegral structure should be made by hydraulic or screw-type jacksand threaded steel rods fitted in grooves which are machined inthe lateral beams of the semi-structures.5 claims, 7 figures
