摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a baking-finished material having high strength and capable of thinning. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy for coating has a composition consisting of 0.5-1.2& Mg, 0.5-1.2% Si, 0.1-0.8% Cu, 0.2-0.9% Zn, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. This alloy material is subjected to zinc phosphate treatment and then to baking finish at 120-200 deg.C for 5-300min under the condition of time(min)<=(temp.( deg.C)-225)/(-0.39). By this method, the chemical conversion treating property and corrosion resistance of a high strength Al-Mg-Si alloy inferior in chemical conversion treating property and corrosion resistance can be improved, and the use of this alloy for coating is made possible. By adopting this high strength material, thickness reduction is made possible.
