<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propagate desired microorganisms by forming a bioreactor carrier to regulate water absorption at a specified percentage by an organic polymer containing inorganic salts etc., which are nutrients for the cells of animals and plants and useful microorganisms. SOLUTION: This bioreactor carrier is made of an organic polymer of 50-1,700% water absorption which contains inorganic salts and organic nitrogen and carbon sources to be nutrients for the cells of animals and plants and microorganisms useful for a bioreactor. The contents of the salts and the resources in the carrier is preferably controlled to be 5-100% of the weight of the polymer, or more preferably approximately 50%. The carrier 8 is placed in a bioreactor 2, raw water 4 is introduced, and air is ejected from a diffusion device 6. Treated water 5 in the reactor 2 is sent to a final precipitation basin 3. In this way, convection is generated in mixed liquid. The carrier 8 is suspended in the reactor 2, circulation-flows, and conducts the adhesion, bonding, and fixing of microorganisms etc., which decompose organic dirty substances.</p> |
